Come one, come all, to an entertaining and informative fundraising dinner on Saturday, November 19 for the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation's November 30 appearance before the Supreme Court of Canada!

The First Nation is appealing the National Energy Board's approval of the reversal of Enbridge’s 40-year-old Line 9 pipeline running from Montreal to Sarnia. Enbridge wants to use this pipeline to transport highly corrosive bitumen and tar sands oil. That is why the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation is fighting back -- but the pricetag for their Supreme Court battle is about $400,000 and you can help by attending this special event.

An Indigenous women's drumming group will set the tone for the evening, and guests will dine on an Indigenous-inspired sit-down menu. During dinner you will hear Myeegun Henry, who is a spokesperson for the COTTFN and  Judy Rebick. Singer-songwriter Eve Goldberg will perform after dinner. There will also be some fabulous items up for grabs in a silent auction and during a fun game that will take place during the evening!

The price of tickets are:

  • $50 regular price
  • $75 supporting price
  • $20 for students or low income people
  • $250 for a table of 6

Please book your tickets on Brown Paper Tickets by Thursday November 17th.
