In February, the National Energy Board is giving us a one month window to apply as people who will be directly affected by the climate change TransCanada's proposed Energy East pipeline will cause. 

Because Energy East will move 1.1 million barrels of tar sands oil a day. Energy East will be worse than adding 7 million new cars on the road. Energy East is even bigger than Keystone XL!

So Toronto 350.org is organizing applications to show to the Energy East that Torontonians demand a full climate review of Energy East. Harper has taken climate out of the environment, and if the NEB does nothing to change this their review will be illegitimate. 

Though we ask everyone to bring laptops, we will be in the Alterna Savings Room for CSI Spadina (Fourth Floor). We will have text ready so you can apply to the NEB quickly (copy and pasting) while we are there to help you and socializing! :) We'll keep you entertained while applying! 

To make the Government reject Energy East, we need your help making Energy East a climate test for Canadian leaders --the way rejecting Keystone XL has become the climate test of President Obama.
