Jesse the Healthy!
Climate change is not only a threat to the planet’s health, but also people’s health. As The Lancet, the world’s leading medical journal diagnosed, climate change is “the biggest global health threat of the twenty-first century.” We also know that this threat is not evenly distributed, but disproportionately affects Indigenous and racialized communities, at home and abroad.
But The Lancet also wrote that tackling climate change is “the greatest global health opportunity,” and we’re seeing more and more people seize this opportunity—from front-line communities resisting extraction industries, to campuses divesting from fossil fuels, to labour groups demanding green jobs.
Toronto-350 is part of this global climate justice movement—helping to push for divestment, organize climate marches, and supporting front-line communities in resisting tar sands expansion. But we can’t do this without financial support, and this is where you come in.
If you donate to Toronto350 you can help sustain us in building a movement for a sustainable climate. Donate for the planet’s health, and for your health.
